Union Planters Bank is finding more than assets and deposits in the Indianapolis operations it purchased from the merger of Bank One and First Chicago/NBD more than two years ago.

Memphis-based Union Planters has found a talent pool for its entire operation.

It has tapped Steve Schenck, president and CEO of Union Planters' Indianapolis operations, for a key multistate position with responsibilities for all retail banking operations across the company. Succeeding Schenck as head of Indianapolis operations is Barbara Branic, another former Indiana National Bank executive with nearly two decades of experience in the local market.
