Atrix licenses Leuprogel. Fort Collins, CO-based Atrix Laboratories Inc. has signed an agreement granting Martinsried, Germany-based MediGene AG exclusive European marketing rights for Leuprogel(TM) (leuprolide acetate for subcutaneous depot injection), a treatment for advanced prostate cancer. In return, MediGene has purchased $4 million in Atrix common stock, and will make an up-front licensing payment of $2 million, as well as royalty payments and clinical, regulatory and sales milestone payments. The product is marketed in the United States by SanofiSynthelabo Inc., New York.
