Who Killed Jesus?

In response to Tim Callahan's article "Who Really Killed Jesus?" (SKEPTIC, Vol. 11, No. 1), the controversy should actually be "What role, if any, did Jewish leaders and Jewish crowds play, in influencing the Romans to crucify Jesus? It should go without saying that even if the darkest picture of Jewish involvement (as presented in the gospel of Matthew) was historically correct, this has no relevance for how Jewish people in the 21st century should be treated.

Callahan is skeptical about the gospel accounts of both the Jewish trial of Jesus before Caiaphas and the Roman trial of Jesus before Pilate. He appears to deny Jewish involvement in Jesus' death and to believe not ...
