Chronic pain significantly challenges all aspects of a person's life.
When treating older adults with chronic pain, most professionals focus on alleviating the immediate physical discomfort and managing the cause of the pain. But there is more to the experience of pain than its physical manifestations. Chronic pain significantly challenges all aspects of a person's life, including intimacy in close relationships.
