Article: Internet advertising on the rise again

SYRACUSE - Internet advertising, in all its forms, is growing more popular and profitable, according to research reports and advertising officials.

A study conducted by the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) revealed that U.S. Internet advertising revenue for the first six months of 2004 totaled $4.6 billion, a 40-percent increase over the same period last year. Investment brokerage and research giant Merrill Lynch projects that Internet advertising spending increased 31 percent this year, and will grow another 19 percent next year.
