Roberts to chair ABA Community Bankers Council

Austin L. Roberts III, president and CEO of Bank of Lancaster, Kilmarnock, Va., has been named chair of the American Bankers Association's Community Bankers Council for 2004-2005. Roberts will lead a council of 100 bank CEOs from across the nation who will work to strengthen the role of community banks as providers of financial services. The council sets priorities on issues affecting community banks, identifies product needs of community banks and sets the agenda for the ABA's annual National Conference for Community Bankers.
