Socio-Economic Factors Associated with Adoption of Dairy Innovations in Drought-Prone Area of West Bengal

The present study was undertaken in Jhargram sub-division of Midnapore district in West Bengal with a view (i) to assess the differential impact of socio-economic factors on reproductive performance of crossbred dairy cows, (ii) to understand the farmers perception about the problems and prospects of adoption of dairy innovations and (iii) to suggest remedies and measures for streamlining the adoption of dairy innovation in order to uplift the economy of dairy owners.
