[*] LUGAR: Mr. President, I have the pleasure and the honor today of speaking in support of the nomination of Dr. Condoleezza Rice to be our secretary of state.
As a result of her distinguished career as national security adviser to President Bush and her earlier assignment on the NSC, she is well-known to most members of the Senate.I admire her accomplishments.
