The world of Latin American theater is elusive. Even the most knowledgeable theater professionals in the United States are at a loss when it comes to naming heavyweight Latino playwrights and theater artists. But Lola Proaño-Gómez and Gustavo Geirola are out to change all that.
Professors at Pasadena City College (Calif.) and Whittier College (Calif.), respectively, the duo became frustrated while pursuing their Ph.D.s at Arizona State University and finding no compilations of Latin Americana plays after 1950.
