Solectria Corp. of Wilmington, Mass., is ceasing production of electric cars and trucks to concentrate on supplying its power electronics, motors, and gearboxes to other hybrid- and electric-vehicle manufacturers. * Ford Motor Co. of Dearborn, Mich., and Westport Innovations Inc. of Vancouver, B.C., are developing a low-emission natural gas fuel system for light-duty diesels. Using high-speed, high-- pressure natural gas fuel injectors and hot surface ignition, the system operates on a diesel cycle.
