Haight wins Top Fuel at 46th March Meet

Howard Haight has chased his dream of winning the March Meet ever since he earned his license to drive Top Fuelers in 1971. Height's chase officially ended Sunday, March 13, at Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield, Calif. Driving a car owned and prepared by 1988 March Meet Top Fuel winner Butch Blair, Haight, 52, zipped to a 6.026 at 250.83 mph to defeat 31-year-old Rick McGee in the final round of the Goodguys 46th March Meet presented by clay Smith Cams.
