A multiplicity of organizations is now in the act

OUTSIDERS ARE LEFT BEWILDERED AS TO the meaning of all those acronyms. When considering the application of new technology to electric motor design and application, we're fairly well accustomed to UL, NEMA, IEEE, ANSI, and EASA. But what to make of ACEEE, PEAC, STAG, NEEA, NASEC, or ASERTH? Who are these people? What are they up to? The short answer is that they are among many organizations outside the motor industry that now perform or support the research and development work formerly carried on only inside that industry.
