Article: Framework Will Assist in Determining Eligibility of Nurse Practitioner Applicants

RNABC's Board of Directors has approved a Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition Framework for use in determining the eligibility for initial registration of nurse practitioner applicants who have not graduated from a nurse practitioner program in British Columbia. This will include nurse practitioners registered or educated in other jurisdictions who seek registration in B.C. as well as those registered nurses who have been working in nurse practitioner-like roles without formal nurse practitioner education.
