Clinical supervision has been identified as the most important component in the preservice preparation of rehabilitation counselors (Scofield & Scofield, 1978), necessary for the continued professional development of practicing professionals (Herbert & Richardson, 1995; Maki & Delworth, 1995), and essential for ensuring that quality services are provided to consumers of rehabilitation programs (Herbert, 1997).
