Digital photography develops as A HIGH-QUALITY TOOL

After a lifetime of capturing images on silver emulsion, Spokane photographer Don Hamilton doesn't even staff his color lab anymore. Although he didn't succumb easily to the advent of digital photography, his conversion now appears remarkably complete.

Hamilton owner of Hamilton Photography & Film Co., at 1427 W. Dean, bought his first digital camera just over a year ago - and expected he would use it only for about 20 percent of his still photography.

Today, the photographer, whose client list includes many of the most prominent advertising agencies and companies in Spokane, says 95 percent of his still photography "goes straight to digital."
