Rising from the desert sands, Dubai Internet City (DIC) is seen as the UAE's answer to Silicon Valley.America's Internet capital. DIC is the first complete Information Technology and Telecommunications (IT) centre in the world to be built inside a free trade zone. Struggling to become the information technology centre in the region, Dubai created DIC to lure international technology companies to the UAE - and it's working.
