Article: Airway Heights prison to expand food factory

The Airway Heights Corrections Center plans to expand its food factory arid warehouse to meet anticipated demand for prison meals from a $200 million expansion at the state penitentiary in Walla Walla, Wash. The food factory produces meals for Washington state's correctional institutions and also supplies bulk ingredients, such as flour, spaghetti sauce, and frozen vegetables, that are Used by those facilities. In addition, the factory supplies city and county jails and senior nutrition programs in Washington, Oregon, Montana, and Idaho with frozen meals.
