Heavy all my life - I was 300 pounds at age 16 and ballooned to almost 420 in my late 30s - I suffered serious complications after abdominal surgery because of my weight. Due in no small part to fear, I simply lost 130 pounds over the next year and a half. I maintained my weight loss for nearly three years, then it started to slowly creep back on.
