Article: Broward County Health Department announces April is Sexually Transmitted Disease Awareness Month

In order to raise awareness in our community and to provide a better understanding of sexually transmitted infections and their health impact, the Broward County Health Department announced April 2005 as Sexually Transmitted Disease Awareness Month.

A community "Ask Me!" campaign and educational/screening activities will be put into effect immediately. The campaign encourages health care professionals to use opportunities to engage clients in a dialogue about sexual and reproductive health.
