NORTH DAKOTA ETHANOL PLANT TO BEGIN CONSTRUCTION

North Dakota is ready for its third ethanol plant in the state.

After six equity drives, the owners of Red Trail Energy, LLC have finally raised the $25 million needed for the plant to break escrow and move forward with construction, it announced last week. "Many people have put a lot of hard work into making this happen," said Frank Kirschenheiter, coordinator for the ethanol plant. "We're thankful to the state for its support and to the North Dakotans who had the foresight to invest in this project and turn its potential for our state into a reality. There's a lot of money being made in ethanol processing in surrounding states, and now it's our turn."
