California-based biodiesel distributor Reclamation Consulting & Applications Inc. (RCAI) signed a letter of intent last week with Canada's largest producer and supplier of biodiesel, Topia Energy Production Ltd., to create a new joint venture focusing on the production and distribution of biodiesel worldwide.
"The biodiesel market in North America is in its infancy, with demand exceeding supply capabilities," RCAI said, noting the "market is fragmented and comprised primarily of a large number of small producers servicing local markets."
