ALEXANDRIA BAY - The Thousand Islands region will soon have a wine trail. A bill granting "wine trail" designation to certain highways in Jefferson County has passed the New York State Senate and Assembly and now awaits Gov. George Pataki's signature. The designation will take effect as soon as the law is signed. Members of the Seaway Wine and Viticulture Association worked with State Senator James Wright (R-48th District) and Assemblyman Darrel Aubertine (R-118th District) to get the legislation passed.
