Since Canada's first program for the education of library technicians was launched at the Manitoba Institute of Technology in 1962, 29 programs have been established in seven provinces. Of these, only 16 programs were available in 2004- How have these programs changed in the intervening years? We conducted an informal survey of the existing programs to find the answer.1
