Over the years the alarm industry has tried many different methods of reducing false alarms and false dispatches. This has been particularly true of the central station industry, as central stations are most commonly the direct link with the "authorities having jurisdiction" (referred to as "AHJs" by those of us in the alarm industry) who have the responsibility to respond to requests for a dispatch, whether due to a burglary, hold-up, fire or other emergency situation.
