Spurred by a story in the June 16 issue of the Chicago Defender, Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan is seeking information about a candy product being marketed by a California-based company.
Chronic Candy sells lollipops flavored with hemp seed oil-flavoring, using the slogan, "like taking a hit with every lick."
Madigan's spokeswoman, Melissa Merz, told the Defender the office would request documents and answers to questions related to the company's marketing practices.
"The company's Web site advertises its Chronic Candy Pops, commonly referred to as "pot suckers," in quantities of "One Ounce," "Half Ounce," "Twenty Sack" and "Nickel Bag," Merz said. "Those quantities and terms also ...
