Pritam Singh has purchased a number of properties for his personal use on Cook's Island in the Lower Keys.
"Cook's Island is very small," Singh told Solares Hill this week. "I only have - what do I have? - three houses," he said. The total purchase price was $1.5 million.
Singh, 52, will house his family on the island. His two younger children, raised in Key West and Vermont, now work for the Singh Company, headquartered in Marathon. Also employed by one or another of his companies are Singh's son-in-law, sister-in-law and brother-in-law. So are two of his three brothers.
