ABSTRACT: In an attempt to combine the hypocholesterolemic properties of plant sterols with the hypotriglyceridemic action of fish oil FA, plant sterols have recently been esterified to fish oil n-3 PUFA. The objective of this study was to determine the effects of plant sterols esterified to n-3 PUFA on plasma lipid levels and erythrocyte fragility.
