As the Cubs sink deeper into the National League Central Division and farther out of the wild card race, manager Dusty Baker remains as calm as ever. As rumors swirl around him about his possible firing, he chews on his famous toothpick and plays a pre-game of catch with his son, Darren.
"I really don't let all that kind of stuff bother me," Baker told the Defender. "Life is too short to worry about the things you can't control."
