Problem-Solving Environment

History is full of examples of people accomplishing extraordinary things under adverse conditions. Superior performance does not occur by accident. It is gained through strong leaders who create an atmosphere whereby subordinates are willing to extend themselves in order to accomplish the goals of the department.

Conversely, a department that does not have strong leadership and support for its subordinates can selfdestruct. These leaders only seek to serve their own egos and selfish interests while expecting superior performance from the rank and file. The environment that is created by these types of personalities is constrictive and stifles those who would otherwise emerge as leaders.
