NORTHERN IRELAND

Another 50 school nurses are needed in Northern Ireland if children are to benefit from public health initiatives, a CPHVA conference was told last month.

Pat Jackson, professional officer for school health and public health, told the Northern Ireland Community Nursing Network's second school nursing conference in Armagh that children face both a worsening drug culture and a serious teenage pregnancy rate.
