Dr. Gloria; Ovarian cancer

Last week I received an e-mail on ovarian cancer from a friend. I was asked to pass it on. I first sent the e-mail to my daughter who is a physician practicing in California. I inquired about the test for ovarian cancer, CA-125, which was mentioned in the e-mail.

While I have heard of this type of cancer, I never knew about a test for it. I asked my daughter how long this information has been available. She said at least 10 years. My daughter sent me a Web site on ovarian cancer published by Johns Hopkins University that answered all the questions I had on the CA-125 test and ovarian cancer.
