With up to 78% of individuals with spinal cord injury (SCI) reporting shoulder pain, the investigators of this article set out to directly compare and contrast the prevalence of shoulder pain for athletic wheelchair users and nonathletic wheelchair users. This was accomplished with a 20-item questionnaire. The questionnaire included questions related to presence of shoulder pain, duration of shoulder pain, severity of shoulder pain using a visual analog scale, affects of shoulder pain on activities ...
