AUSTRALIA INDUSTRY MINISTER SUGGESTS ETHANOL SOLD AT DISCOUNT

In an overall effort to increase ethanol's marketshare in Australia and gain consumer confidence, Industry Minister Ian Macfarlane recently recommended ethanol producers should consider discounting their fuels to the public.

"I think the ethanol sector has been trying for some time to put the cart before the horse, putting supply before demand. The awakening of this industry in Australia has to start with public understanding of and demand for the product," he said.
