Article: Broward County creates Hurricane Katrina relief effort; Mayor Kristin Jacobs encourages employees, residents and businesses to "Conserve and Contribute"

Broward County Mayor Kristin Jacobs is urging Broward County employees to conserve energy while at the same time paving the way for workers to contribute to the Hurricane Katrina relief effort that has been established.

"We have some 7,000 employees and, like Broward County residents, they are eager to help those affected by Hurricane Katrina," said Mayor Jacobs.

To accommodate those requests Broward County government has established a Hurricane Katrina relief effort that will allow employees to contribute to victims in need.
