Variety is the spice of life, but what does that mean in terms of e-learning?

In the last column (September 2005 p32), I did my Sex and the City TV character Carrie Bradshaw impersonation and looked at the similarities between e-learning standards for interoperability (AICC/SCORM) and sex. Hopefully it had the desired effect and you read to the end, having learnt something in the process. We all know the trick with e-learning is to produce engaging content.
