Plants and Projects
Syntroleum Corp. (Tulsa, OK) and Marathon Oil Co. are building a 70-bbl/d stand-alone gas-to-liquids (GTL) plant at Port of Catoosa, OK. Certain items of equipment at Syntroleum's pilot plant at BP's Cherry Point, WA, refinery are currently being dismantled for shipment to the site. The engineering, procurement and construction contract is expected to be awarded in the fourth quarter of this year. Construction is scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2002, with production and testing of fuels continuing through completion of the program in early 2004.
