The landmark Education Reform Act is just over 10 years old. As we embark on the next 10 years of education reform, we should pause to assess not only what has worked well in the last decade but also what has not. From this assessment, we can thoughtfully decide what our priorities should be and where we should invest our tax dollars moving forward.
You have the opportunity to participate in this assessment. The legislature's Education Committee, of which I am a member, is holding hearings throughout the Commonwealth to better understand the specific education issues facing each community.
The hearing for Boston is on Thursday, November 3 in Room B-2 of the State House from 4:30 - 7:00 ...
