Total quality revisited

It is one of the fundamental precepts of TQM that by first concentrating on getting things right first time other benefits accrue that might not at first be seen as caused by a quality drive. These benefits include those listed above as well as such things as increased employee motivation and satisfaction. The reason that the TQM approach is able to provide so many benefits is that it is not simply a quality drive or company scheme. It becomes a fundamental principle affecting everything done by the organisation through the attitudes and commitment of all who work there. It is a never ending search for improvement in everything the company does.
