Patrick D. Redmond, president and CEO of Viking Financial Services Corp., Seattle, has been appointed chair of the American Bankers Association's Community Bankers Council for the 2005-2006 association year.
As chair, Redmond is leading a council of 97 bank CEOs from across the country who work to strengthen the role of community banks as providers of financial services. The council sets priorities on issues affecting community banks, identifies product needs of community banks and sets the agenda for the ABA's annual National Conference for Community Bankers.
