It is common knowledge in the legal community that law school does not teach you how to be a lawyer. Lawyering teaches you how to be a lawyer, while law school attempts to teach you how to think like a lawyer.
What does it mean to think like a lawyer? This question was at the forefront of my curiosity when I began law school two years ago at American University Washington College of Law, eager yet anxious about learning this new method of thought.
