On further review, replay redux requires refining

Coming soon to an exhibition game near you: the NFL's latest experiment with instant replay. As part of an attempt to see whether replay should be brought back for the first time since it was voted out after the 1991 season, the league will tinker with an experimental replay system in 10 nationally televised exhibitions. If all goes well, owners could vote replay back in for real starting with the 1997 season.

We can only hope. As a staunch replay defender, I never wanted to see it abolished in the first place. Yes, there were problems with the old system, most notably the painfully long delays and a system that attempted to include far too many categories of plays.
