STUDENTS AND LATIN AMERICAN ECONOMIC INTEGRATION
Latino students need to get involved in promoting the economic integration of Latin America, in promoting internationalism. As American citizens, Latino students have a very important stake in the formulation of U.S. foreign policy. The Hispanic American population now is estimated at between 35-40 million people, not including those who are mixed with other ethnic groups, which probably doubles the number. If they do not get involved, other sectors in the U.S. will continue its monopoly over foreign policy to the detriment of the U.S.A., Latin America and Latinos in the U.S.
