FREUDENBERG NONWOVENS, the world's leading nonwovens producer, will install a second polyethylene terephthalate (PET) spunbond line inTa-Yuan,Taiwan.
The line will start up by the end of 2007.The 12 kt a year of additional PET spunbond capacity will support the growth of Freudenberg's Asian customers.
General Manager of the Tuft Division of Freudenberg Nonwovens, Bill casey, said "We aim to increase our production capacity for tuft backing substrates, as well as enhance our global supply flexibility to our customers as they continue to grow. Our total PET spunbond capacity in Asia should cover the demand for our unique PET spunbond products for the next 8-10 years."
