U.S. CTL fuels output quantity may jump nearly 20 times from about 40,000 barrels/day projected for 2012, to more than 760,000 b/d by 2030, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said in its latest Annual Energy Outlook (AEO) 2006 report.
In order to get CTE production to 760,000 b/d by 2030, the U.S. will need to produce more than the 1.1 billion tons of coal per year it produces now.
