American Electric Power (AEP) announced that it plans to go ahead and locate a new $1.3 billion IGCC plant in the Great Bend area in Ohio, The News and Sentinel, a local online newspaper reported.

It also plans to meet with the public on Jan. 24 to talk about the project.
