Article: Everybody's Uncle Sam

He is better known than any movie star, sports hero or rock singer, even though he hasn't changed the style of his clothes in more than 100 years.

He's that long-legged fellow in the red-andwhite-striped pants and old-fashioned frock coat with the tails flopped behind. He has a prominent nose, narrow face and beard that juts out defiantly. He wears a stovepipe hat with a band of stars on the bottom half.

He's everybody's uncle-Uncle Sam.
