SHIMLA, India, Nov. 21 -- The Government of Himachal Pradesh issued the following press release:

The remaining unexploited hydel potential of the state will be allotted for harnessing in coming four months with a view to generate maximum hydel power. This was revealed by Shri Virbhadra Singh, Chief Minister while addressing a mammoth gathering after laying the foundation stone of 192 MW Allain Duhongan Hydel Project at Prini in Kullu district today.

Chief Minister said that out of the total identified hydel potential of about 21,000 MW, 6067 MW had so far been harnessed and work on 7,602 MW was in progress which was likely to be completed in a couple of years. He said that the remaining ...
