PARKERSBURG--Once a person enters a Woodcraft store for the first time, company President Bryan Katchur feels he has a customer for life.
It's easy to see why.
Woodcraft Supply Corp., with 21 stores in 16 states, is a woodworkers' paradise. Woodworking tools, supplies and books--6,000 items in all--line the walls and shelves in the retail store and warehouse at Wood County Industrial Park.
Woodcraft moved its headquarters and warehouse/distribution center from Boston, where the company was founded in 1928, to Wood County in 1989.
SBR Inc. of Parkersburg, former owner of West Virginia's 7-Eleven stores, purchased Woodcraft in 1987.
