The Wisconsin Democratic Party issued the following news release:

State Sen. Russ Decker was named Chair of the State Senate Democratic Committee today. Sen. Decker will join Minority Leader Judy Robson in leading the effort to build toward a majority in the State Senate.Senator Decker has served four terms in the State Senate, winning his first term in 1990 after defeating a 12 year Republican incumbent. He has been re-elected since 1994, garnering 68 percent of the vote in his most recent re-election campaign in 2002.
