Bilateral trade between India and Saudi Arabia is expected to more than double and touch a figure of US$ 7 billion by 2010 from the present level of US$ 3 billion in which the exports of Indian textile products to Saudi Arabia will play a dominant role despite competition to it from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and even China, according to a Background Paper prepared by The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) on "Indo-Saudi Arabia Trade Prospects".
